Class 7
Year 3 and 4
Class Teacher: Mrs T Nice
Welcome to Class 7, we are a mixed group of Year 3 and 4 children
What does a typical day look like in Class 7?
Children are welcomed into the classroom by staff and organise their belongings, including ordering lunch if they wish. Breakfast is available to all children in the resource room on arrival. Children also have morning activities to complete.
Children complete a Talk 4 Writing lesson as part of their English each day. The children learn to retell stories and non fiction texts using actions. They learn the tools needed to write in the same genre. The children over time then write in a similar way.
Children also complete daily guided reading tasks that enable confident reading, provide knowledge of a wide range of vocabulary and support the understanding and discussion of texts.
Within maths, the children complete a daily White rose maths lesson. White rose maths divides the maths for each year into blocks and small steps.
In the afternoon the children complete the wider curriciulum including history, geography, art, science and much more. Please find more information by looking at the curriculum page
