Our Rotakids operate with the support of our local Rotary Club.

What do RotaKids clubs do?

The great thing about RotaKids is that children can come up with ideas and see them become a reality. The group can do just about anything which springs to mind to help others both within our local community and the wider world.

It shows children that by working together, there is so much we can achieve. Examples of RotaKids activities have included:

    • Filling shoeboxes with toys for underprivileged children around the world as part of the Rotary Shoebox Scheme

    • Raising money for local charities in our area and fundraising for CAFOD, Marie Curie and The British Legion. For example by holding non-uniform days and cake sales. We will run our own fortnightly Fidget Shop in school.

    • Raised money to purchase individual Christmas gifts for the residents of a local residential nursing home.

    • Take part in the local Remembrance Sunday parades with the Rotary Club.

    • Raised money to donate to local projects that support the community and those in need.

    • Used profits from the fidget shop to provide microloans through Lend with Care for:

      1. Chimwadzuru farming group in Malawi to invest in their product and grow their business

      2. Mujeres Valientes retail group in Paraguay to purchase stock

      3. Pavel Women's Empowerment Collective retail group in Togo to expand their stock

      4. Songaye farming group on Malawi to enhance the quality of their crop

      5. Holliness farming group in Malawi to buy fertiliser for
